Nanping

Nanping (nän`pĭng`) or Yanping (yän`–), city (1994 est. pop. 211,700), N central Fujian prov., China, on the upper Min River. An important rail hub, it has expanded from a regional market town to include cement, paper-product, chemical, and machine-tool manufacturing.

At the beginning of this decade, several other Chinese companies installed world scale production equipment, including Huatai Paper (now collaborating with Stora Enso), Zhongshu Group (Shixian Bailu, Jilin), Black Dragon (Qiqihaer), Nanping Paper, Yueyang Paper, and Sun Paper, among others.
Duracell recently acquired a majority stake in Fujian Nanping Nanfu Battery Co.
