Yemen Independence Day (2017)

Independence Day in Yemen is November 30, a national holiday to commemorate Yemen's independence from the British. Two Lucky Ticketholders to Split $587.5-Million Jackpot

After two months without a jackpot-winning ticket sold, the US Powerball lottery finally had two for its most recent drawing. The holders of the two tickets, which were purchased in Arizona and Missouri, will split a staggering $587.5-million jackpot. In the days leading up to Wednesday night's drawing, people in the 42 states that participate in Powerball went on a ticket-buying frenzy, purchasing an estimated 130,000 tickets per minute.
