The Ogdoad of Egyptian mythology was a group of eight deities worshipped in ancient Hermopolis. They were arranged in four female-male pairs, with each pair representing the female and male aspects of one of four basic concepts. Los Angeles Is Founded (1781)

Now one of the most populous and diverse counties in the US, Los Angeles was first founded by Spanish governor Felipe de Neve and settled by missionaries. Bruckner was an Austrian composer who established a reputation as a virtuoso organist in Vienna. However, as a composer, he gained recognition slowly. He was 60 before he achieved fame with his 1884 Symphony No. 7 in E Major, one of nine that he completed. Jubilee Days Festival (2017)

Founded in 1948, Jubilee Days began as a celebration of the harvest and of God's blessings on the community. It has since become a celebration of the unique heritage of Zion, Illinois. The town was founded in 1901 by the reverend John Alexander Dowie, organizer of the Christian Catholic Church. He died in 1907 and was succeeded by Wilbur Glenn Voliva. Soft Music and Lighting May Make You Eat Less

The atmosphere in a fast food restaurant may affect how enjoyable the meal is, according to a US study. Researchers recently modified a section of a Hardee's restaurant to see how diners would react to the changes. Patrons who sat in the section provided with plants, paintings, indirect lights, candles, tablecloths and instrumental music ate longer, consumed 18 percent fewer calories, and rated the food as more enjoyable than those who dined in the unmodified area.
