The thin profile window designs contributed greatly to the period's major architectural trends such as Art Deco, Art Moderne and International Modern.
Highlighting the tour will be Paris Opera Ballet performances of Rudolf Nureyev's Romeo and Juliet and John Neumeier's A Midsummer Night's Dream, plus a Ballets Russes retrospective that includes visits to the Theatre des Champs Elysees, Theatre de la Musique and a collection of memorabilia at either the Musee Picasso or Musee National d' Art Moderne.
The district contains a range of commercial architectural styles from the 1880s to the 1950s, including Italianate, Beaux-arts, Sullivanesque, Neo-classical Revival, Renaissance Revival, Art Moderne and Art Deco.
