Pampa

Pampa (păm`pə), city (1990 pop. 19,959), seat of Gray co., extreme N Tex. This cow town on the Panhandle plains still ships cattle and wheat and packs meat, but the discovery of oil and gas has made it an industrial center with refineries and other oil-based industries. Oil-drilling machinery and chemicals are also manufactured in Pampa.

The driest areas so far this growing season continue to be central and northern Cordoba and Santa Fe, but new concerns about dryness are starting to appear in central and southern La Pampa as well as in southwestern Buenos Aires.
Villa Matilde, San Luis, and San Pablo were close to Mercedes, and Pampa Pozo and a logging operation were close to Trinidad (Figure 1).
In addition to having supermarkets in the main cities in Patagonia, made up of the provinces of Neuquen, Rio Negro, Chubut, Santa Cruz and Tierra del Fuego, La Anonima has opened in Cordoba, La Pampa and Buenos Aires province, too.
